Patapan is a song which was composed by Bernard de La Monnoye in the year 1720 under the title Guillô, Pran Ton Tamborin, which translates as "Willie, Bring Your Little Drum". It was originally a christian christmas carol but the name Patapan reminds me of the deity Pan. To that end the tune is on a set of pan pipes and the fae are leading a procession of tomte and faeries as they usher in the holiday season. This is what I imagine when I hear this piece of music.

Merry Christmas and a Glad Yule to all.

Hope you enjoy :)
