After Bryce's parents separated, he embarked on a journey to Oklahoma with his mother. During this time, he became acquainted with the street game, ultimately graduating from OSU in 1985. Despite his academic achievements, Bryce veered into a life of crime, orchestrating a criminal operation before eventually transitioning into legality.

Throughout his journey, Bryce grappled with constant internal conflicts, torn between moral dilemmas and romantic entanglements. Despite his attempts to reform, Bryce found himself spending time in federal prison, struggling to break free from the grip of old habits and the allure of illicit gains.

As the story unfolds, Bryce's faith in Jehovah becomes a central theme, evolving and strengthening throughout the film. In a pivotal moment, Bryce makes the decision to prioritize the woman who remained steadfastly loyal to him. This choice leads him to move his family into a spacious home in Dallas, marking a significant milestone in his path of personal and spiritual growth.
