Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro on Wednesday (December 20) hailed a prisoner swap deal with U.S., which saw his ally, Alex Saab, a businessman facing bribery charges in the U.S., returned to Caracas, in exchange for at least 30 American and domestic prisoners being freed from Venezuelan prisons as well as a pledge for the South American country to hold fair elections next year.
