Accordion Christmas Cheer
Occurred on December 8, 2017 / Westlake, Louisiana, USA
Info from Licensor: "We awoke to find that we had received a beautiful snowfall. Now this might not be a huge deal anywhere else, it was a huge deal in southwest Louisiana where it hadn't snowed this much in 44 years. Jo-EL Sonnier grabbed his Cajun accordion and ran out in the snow to play a Christmas song. He said , ' I've never got to do this before and it makes me feel like a kid again.' It was a magical moment and one that he may never see again as Jo-EL is 71 years old and far from being a kid. It was completely spontaneous and unplanned as can be seen in the video. We never dreamed that so many people would watch the video and share it with their friends. Jo-EL Sonnier is a well known Grammy Award winning Artist who has managed to achieve stardom despite having Aspergers Syndrome. Possibly his innocence is what has touched so many people to share his video. He continues to be an inspiration to both children and adults who suffer with being different and his story gives all who struggle, the faith to follow their dreams. After all, sometimes being different can make all the difference in a life."
