How To Make Homemade Glazed Peach Hand Pies

If you have fresh Peaches and you need a deliciously easy Recipe, bake Glazed Peach Hand Pies, a great homemade Dessert.

Glazed Peach Hand Pies
Ingredients:
makes 12 Hand Pies
2 Pie Crust (store bought)

Filling:
5 Peaches (peeled & diced small)
1/2 cup Sugar
2 tbsp Cornstarch
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
Pinch of Salt
1 tbsp Lemon Juice
Zest of 1 Lemon
1/4 tsp Vanilla

Egg Mixture:
1 Egg
1 tbsp Milk

Icing:
3/4 cup Powdered Sugar (sifted)
1 tbsp Lemon Juice

Combine Peaches with sugar, mix well cover with plastic wrap and set aside 1 hour.
Strain Peaches and pour the juice in a saucepan add Cornstarch, Nutmeg and pinch of Salt. Cook over med heat, continuously stirring until it thickens.
Remove from heat and add Peaches, Vanilla, Lemon Juice and Zest. Combine and set aside to cool.

Whisk egg and Milk together, set aside.

Preheat Oven 350°F and line Baking Sheet with Parchment Paper.

Cut twelve 4"-5" rounds out of Pie Crust.
Brush Egg Mixture over a round and place a heaping of Peach Filling in the middle.
Pull Pastry over Filling, shape into a half moon and seal the Hand Pie. Press Edges together with the tines of a fork. Cut 2 slits in the top to vent. Place Hand Pies on Baking Sheet and refrigerate 30 Minutes.
Brush Egg Mixture over Pies and bake 25-30 Minutes, until golden. Completely cool on wire rack.
Mix Lemon Juice and enough Powdered Sugar until Icing is smooth and thickness to your liking.
Drizzle Icing over Hand Pies and let it set.
