Crews Burn Down House for Training Exercise

Today was bitter sweet for many... as we completed our last of more than 18 practice scenarios and we had to let our wonderful old acquired structure burn down. As the neighborhood watched on we made the most of this opportunity once again. We were able to take our media friends inside to see, feel and record first hand what we experienced. When asked today how we felt about loosing such a beloved landmark we echoed back what this has meant to our firefighters... in this one kind gesture of you, the owners, contractors, and community surrounding this event... you have without doubt saved lives - through acquired structure / real fire training we are better equipped to save lives of others and stay safe our self.
