Walkers Raise Money for Heart Disease

Children, women and men raised awareness and funds to fight heart disease and stroke at the Lee Heart Walk, Saturday, The non-competitive, three-mile walk began at 8 a.m. at Centennial Park in Fort Myers. Funds raised allow the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association to provide professional and community education, as well as critical research yielding medical advances such as cardiac catheterization, open-heart surgery, angioplasty, pacemakers and CPR.
