IT'S POLICY - LIRR is Abandoning Two Tracks of the Main Line

The two outside tracks along the Main Line from Woodside to Rego Park are rotting into the ground along with their ten girder bridges (that's 10 girders ranging from 65' to 130' long) and the MTA is accelerating this by adding permanent obstructions such as transformers, and compromising the embankment, by cutting it away right next to a bridge and inserting sheet piles.
