Winter Weather Advisory for tonight into Saturday morning
Light snow starting to spread into Northeast Wisconsin this evening. Several counties, including the cities of Green Bay, Appleton, Oshkosh, Manitowoc, and Sturgeon Bay, are under a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY until 9 AM Saturday. The snow will make for slick roads and some difficult travel this evening through tonight. As this snow falls, it will NOT be windy, so blowing and drifting will NOT be a problem tonight. HOWEVER, winds will pick up for Saturday morning and blowing snow will continue to make for less than ideal travel conditions. This snow will taper off late tonight. This is going to be a very light, fluffy snow and could add up quick in some spots tonight. Within the advisory area, especially towards Door County and parts of the lakeshore, upwards of 2-4" is expected locally. However, at this point, most of the viewing area will more likely see the 1-2" range.
