A major drug bust in Lee County has led to over $1 million being recovered during a search warrant, investigators announced Thursday. According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, an investigation was launched over the weekend following a fatal drug overdose. That investigation led authorities to the home of 53-year-old Landrus Powell. A warranted search of his home Wednesday uncovered the large amount of cash, several guns, numerous narcotics including heroin, cocaine, and Oxycodone, and two vehicles used in the crimes.
