As we approach the coming end of December there is a hard driving of all people to perform. Holidays create more stress in the lives of many that have a ton of stress already. Yet there seems to be no end to the push and rush of demands.

There is also a heaviness as well as we see 2024 swiftly approaching due to some rather troubling realities. Along with these things is the imminency of Jesus Christ. Which is creating a lot of people to feel over-driven by online spiritual instructors to get busy, and get to work and make things happens fast as possible. To get out there and work for the Lord.

However, it has only been equivalent to throwing a lead brick to people treading water to stay alive rather than a life preserver. Many feel like they are inadequate anyway and give up. Yet they still hunger to be given some kind of sanctioned work to do on His behalf. They go away into the shadows.

Jesus never over-drives His people, He gives them rest and refuge. And working for Jesus really should be as natural as breathing air. He always "leads on softly."

"Every moment brings us some benediction. Even the rough hand of trial holds in its clasp for us some treasure of love." ~ J.R. Miller
