All Things Spiritual-Inner Light

In 1 John 1:5-10, God is described as light, and in him is no darkness. If we walk in darkness, we lie and do not know the truth. If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Light is a kind of wave, similar to ocean waves or sound waves, carrying energy from one place to another. It is made of a mixture of electricity and magnetism, called electromagnetic waves, which travel quickly.

The spiritual light in us is akin to a lump of coal, which is a black piece of rock. In Romans 9:21, the potter power over the clay of the same lump is discussed, as it can make one vessel honorable and another dishonorable. The lump of clay that is us has its beginning with God, as He formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed life into his nostrils.
