¿Es el Papa católico? Carlo Maria Viganò

Esta conferencia en línea organizada por el profesor Edmund Mazza tiene como tema un argumento que sólo recientemente se está haciendo público, después de más de diez años de horrores peores que los que hemos presenciado en los últimos sesenta años, pero perfectamente coherentes con las bases filosóficas y teológicas planteadas en la crisis presente por el Concilio Vaticano II. ¿El Papa es católico?

En otros tiempos, una pregunta de este tipo habría sonado casi a blasfemia, tan arraigado estaba en los fieles el respeto y el amor hacia el Romano Pontífice, considerado como el dulce Cristo en la tierra. ¿Quién diablos, en tiempos de Pío XII, se habría atrevido a cuestionar su autoridad moral y magisterial? Y por otra parte, ¿por cuál motivo los fieles habrían tenido que expresar su desacuerdo con un Papa, desde el momento en que su voz era la expresión de una continuidad ininterrumpida con sus predecesores y con el divino Maestro?

Escuchar hoy hablar a Jorge Mario Bergoglio y comparar sus palabras con las del Pastor angelicus nos hace comprender el abismo que separa a un Papa de su grotesca parodia, el abismo que separa al Vicario de Cristo de la simia Pontificis. La autoridad hierática de todos los Papas desde san Pedro hasta Pío XII, íntimamente vinculada la autoridad divina de Cristo Sumo y Eterno Sacerdote, ha sido pervertida en autoritarismo arrogante y en tiranía; el sentido de pertenencia al Orden Sagrado de los clérigos y prelados se ha corrompido en clericalismo; la inmutabilidad fija de la Verdad revelada, fundada en la inmutabilidad perfecta de Dios -e incluso la naturalmente cognoscible por la razón- ha cedido a la revolución permanente y al caos, a la provisionalidad de la Loquimini nobis placentia [habladnos cosas agradables] (Is 30, 10) y a la arbitrariedad de lo opinable: aspicite nobis Illusiones (ibid.).

Is the Pope Catholic?

In other times, such a question would have sounded almost like blasphemy, so deeply rooted was the respect and love for the Roman Pontiff, considered as the sweet Christ on earth. Who the hell, in the time of Pius XII, would have dared to question his moral and magisterial authority? And on the other hand, for what reason would the faithful have had to express their disagreement with a Pope, since his voice was the expression of an uninterrupted continuity with his predecessors and with the divine Master?

Listening to Jorge Mario Bergoglio speak today and comparing his words with those of Pastor angelicus makes us understand the abyss that separates a Pope from his grotesque parody, the abyss that separates the Vicar of Christ from the ape Pontificis. The hieratic authority of all the Popes from St. Peter to Pius XII, intimately linked to the divine authority of Christ the Eternal High Priest, has been perverted into arrogant authoritarianism and tyranny; the sense of belonging to the Sacred Order of clerics and prelates has been corrupted into clericalism; the fixed immutability of revealed Truth, founded on the perfect immutability of God - and even that which is naturally knowable by reason - has yielded to permanent revolution and chaos, to the provisionality of the Loquimini nobis placentia [speak pleasant things to us] (Is 30:10) and to the arbitrariness of the opinionable: aspicite nobis Illusions (ibid.).
