Randy discusses why it is important to try different components and in different configurations, to get the best accuracy for your rifle. He shows a target with shots from two rifles, both which did not shoot well with the components he started with. By making some subtle changes in components, adjusting what he paired together. The .300 Win. Mag shot, with many combination trials, a .486 group and the .257 Wby. Mag., after much trial and error, shot a .593 group, in a stiff cross breeze.
Both of these calibers are ones he has successfully used other components for, but neither of these rifles wanted to digest those combinations.
The patience, determination and keeping a good record over all of these years help him find a good load.
God bless!
