Born in Bollendorf, Belgium, in the 12th century, Christina belonged to a noble family who practiced paganism. Despite her upbringing, she secretly converted to Christianity after encountering a traveling priest. Filled with newfound faith, Christina smashed her family's idols and dedicated herself to prayer and studying the Bible.

When her father, Urbain, discovered her faith, he was enraged. He tried to force Christina to renounce Christianity, using threats and even physical abuse. However, Christina remained steadfast, refusing to compromise her beliefs.

Urbain subjected Christina to various tortures, including being tied to a burning wheel, thrown into a freezing lake, and imprisoned in a dungeon. However, miraculously, Christina survived each ordeal, often protected by angels or experiencing divine intervention.

Eventually, Urbain gave up, recognizing the power of Christina's faith. He himself converted to Christianity and, together, they dedicated their lives to spreading the Gospel. Christina became known as "the Astonishing" due to the extraordinary miracles associated with her life.

This Christina was born in Rome around the 3rd century and raised in a Christian family. During the reign of Emperor Diocletian, a brutal persecution of Christians began. Christina refused to renounce her faith and was arrested.

She was subjected to many brutal tortures, including being scourged, thrown into a boiling cauldron, and starved. However, Christina remained courageous and unwavering in her faith.
