For those of you who have never read the book or watched the movie "The Magnificent Obsession," I would highly recommend that you do, particularly at this important time of the year. Many of us can perhaps use some help in rebooting the purpose of our existence: giving, helping, and supporting those in need is the most divine mission that we are given in life.

STN’s mission is also crystal clear to us. It is to support and educate those existing in the seemingly relentless darkness of their daily lives. We do this by spreading light and truth to those who are feeling lost, alone, and confused. We also help them by inviting them to join together with us in a common purpose.

Our “guidebook” tells us that the evil one loves chaos and confusion. However, we must always recognize that we have a sacred duty. That sacred duty is to study and share the teachings of that “guidebook.” It is what sheds light on the only path we should follow. That path, as we know from experience, is narrow and can be very lonely for us to persevere. However, we also know that it is the path that will lead to righteousness and victory.

The “Magnificent Obsession” that STN is driven by is to continue to shed light on the lies, misinformation, and misdirection used by the deceivers. We have done this since our inception, and He unquestionably has His hand on everything that we do. We also recognize that there is a much bigger war being fought than the one that we see right before our eyes. That spiritual war is the one that we must never lose sight of and that we can never let up on.

Yes, of course, we are engaged in the worldly battles. He directs us to do so in His word. He does not ask us to sit idly by and wait. While we know the outcome from His teachings, He also commands us to use His armor and His shield, and yes, His sword to battle evil in that spiritual war.

So, we are committed to fighting the battles that are ahead of us in this 2-front war. I can tell you that we will not falter, and we will not waver. We will, however, carry on helping others, giving when we see a need, sacrificing when it is required, educating, teaching, and spreading light and truth to those who are wanting and are willingly anxious to open their eyes and join us in the battle.

And in the end, when it is done, and the tallies are taken, our “Magnificent Obsession” will not have been given for personal gain but for the sacrificial love of our brothers and sisters. Truly, those who we are able to draw out of the darkness into His light to fight and spread that God-given truth and light with us.

Have a Blessed Christmas with Family and Friends and partake and enjoy the “Magnificent Obsession” that is in His name!
