There is an ongoing conflict between Muslims and Christians in the Philippines, which is rooted in their differing beliefs about God and their religious leaders. Judaism awaits the arrival of a Messiah, while Islam rejects the idea of God becoming human and instead trusts in their Prophet Muhammad. Christians believe that Jesus speaks to them plainly and understand God perfectly, whereas Muslims follow the teachings of the Quran and Shar. It is important to understand the differences between the three religions and striving for peace and understanding among different religious groups. I discuss martyrdom and the concepts of "blue martyrdom", where Father Andrew is considered a saint for his willingness to give his life for Christ.
