Motorcyclist Killed in Crash

A Fort Myers man was killed in a crash Saturday night. It happened at approximately 7:19 p.m. at the intersection of Principia and Cypress Lake Drive. 19-year-old Vonte Julian Mora was traveling West on Cypress Lake when a Toyota Sienna came into his path, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Mora attempted to swerve away from the Toyota but collided with the vehicle and was ejected off his motorcycle. He then flew into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Mora was transported to HelathPark Medical Center where he later died. Troopers say alcohol was not a factor in this crash and Mora was wearing a helmet. Charges are still pending at this time.
