Why is Christ in Christmas? | Saturnalia | Inside The Fatih Loop

In western civilization we see many forms from other cultures that have entered the celebration of this holy day. The Scandinavian and German influences of folklore such as the Yule, which is used in the wiccan rites to this day. Santa Claus has become the magical meaning of gift giving, and we have forgotten the gift of life shown to us by the second man, Jesus. I am not sure where Jesus is in this celebration, other than what Christianity has devised through the manipulation of words.
