What if you could see how a roof performs down the road?

At the #TectaAmerica warehouse in the Chicago area, when we built this building in 1996, we installed a “Showroom” on the roof consisting of a dozen different roof systems

It was meant as a way to show a building owner different roof systems before they bought. We employed the Good/Better/Best Philosophy.

The world is full of unintended consequences though, isn’t it?

Now, after 27 years, we can see how different roof types have performed. Some are performing better than other, and may I say, may be more #sustainable than others. Another observation: What was considered “the best”, and what was considered “experimental” all those years ago, didn’t turn out as predicted.
