Wild brawl erupts between referees at youth basketball game in Colorado

Things can get a little tense in the fourth quarter of a basketball game, and a referee and bystanders at a youth event in Colorado had to intervene late-on recently – but this time it was to break up a fight between several officials, not players.

The incident occurred during a game at the Gold Crown Field House in Lakewood, Colorado, on December 9, between fourth graders from Cherry Creek and Legend Blue.

Lakewood Police told TMZ the involved parties left the gym before officers arrived and said they were investigating the incident.

The clip here from a livestreaming site shows two men in black-and-white squaring up, before a third referee gets involved. Bystanders and a fourth referee then attempt to intervene, before two of the scrapping referees get up and go toe-to-toe again.

The Gold Crown Foundation confirmed to TMZ that no one was injured during the incident, and announced indefinite suspensions for the referees involved.
