Snake Temple

One of my favorite Buddhist temples, the Snake Temple is often called the “Red Temple” and resembles sandstone. (It’s really closer to pink than red.) Formally, it’s called Wat Ratchathammaram or Wat Sila Ngu. It’s located near Lamai Beach on Ko Samui Island in Thailand. I found dozens of intricate frescos including many depicting snakes and other monsters. Except for an occasional tour group, I mostly had the temple all to myself. It also has a beautiful little private beach—a great place for a picnic.

TECHNICAL: I shot the pictures and video with my Fujifilm X-T5 and my Nikon d850.
MUSIC: Mughalsarai by Palace on Wheels from EpidemicSound.
