RIP E3 1995 to 2023

The Electronic Entertainment Expo started in 1995 because the video game venue at the Consumer Electronics Show had grown so large that it needed its own trade show. In a move that is no surprise to me, it has been announced that E3 will now defunct. There are many reasons why E3 isn't coming back. The ESA has been reluctant to change E3 for the changing media landscape. Mainstream gaming media has been increasingly becoming more and more irrelevant (due to different factors). And, it is cheaper for game studios and publishers to do their thing.
