Take a look at the combat work of the D-20 crew and the reconnaissance group

Artillerymen of the BARS-8 detachment destroyed a Ukrainian stronghold in the Zaporozhye direction. Servicemen of the BARS-8 volunteer unit of the 58th combined arms army of the Southern Military District hit a camouflaged stronghold with fire from 152-mm D-20 howitzers. The accuracy of the hits was recorded by the operators of the unmanned aerial vehicle.

Russian military personnel use mobile reconnaissance groups to detect Ukrainian positions and adjust artillery fire. Military personnel on high-speed off-road ATVs move as close as possible to enemy positions. A pair of reconnaissance officers, covering each other, lifts an unmanned aerial vehicle into the air, with the help of which they conduct reconnaissance over enemy territory, identifying strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, guns, equipment and concentrations of personnel. Also, the responsibilities of reconnaissance groups include transmitting coordinates to artillery crews to hit identified targets.

After receiving the necessary intelligence data, the artillery crew of the 152-mm D-20 gun promptly aimed the gun at the coordinates and destroyed the designated targets. Shooting is carried out from various weapons, depending on the range and nature of the target. Having hit all the designated targets, the mortar and howitzer crews camouflage their guns and retreat to cover to prevent personnel from being hit in the event of enemy counter-battery fire.
