Meerkat on the road in Kalahari National Park

On a morning game drive during a sunny, cool weather day in the Kgalagadi National Park in the Northern Cape Province (South Africa) today, and the meerkats are out and about, spotted while on a game drive. This a spotter meerkat who is responsible for looking after the little ones. They often move between dens and spend most of the day scavenging for food. I think this is a lovely video I captured of the protection provided by the older meerkats.
