Catholic priest stabbed to death in Nebraska church

The identified suspect accused of fatally stabbing a Catholic priest in a small Nebraska community is Kierre L. Williams, a 43-year-old resident of Sioux County, Iowa.

Williams was apprehended for the alleged murder of Rev. Stephen Gutgsell, 65, during a break-in at the rectory of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska, as stated by the police.

Charges of homicide and the use of a weapon to commit a felony were announced by the Washington County Sheriff in connection to Williams.

The incident unfolded when Gutgsell, 65, made a 911 call at around 5 am, reporting an attempted break-in at the rectory, the Daily Mail reported.
