The Antarctic ice wall shows the extreme differences between the Arctic and Antarctic, which is much colder on average. The Arctic doesn't have an ice wall and life flourishes during its short summer, with fields full of flowers and migrating birds feasting on insects. The Sun moves at its slowest during the northern summer solstice and in a tight circle, dramatically warming up the Arctic. This doesn't happen in the Antarctic summer when the Sun is moving at its quickest in a broad circle. This explains the extreme difference in average temperature of the 2 areas. The Antarctic gets far colder than the Arctic, while the Arctic gets far warmer than the Antarctic. The Arctic has much more life than the Antarctic does, both flora and fauna.
