The Whistleblower. Interview with Liz Gunn, Barry Young and Dr Paul Oosterhuis.

The Achilles heel of hubris, is that it’s blind to the power that has seen many tyrants fall. It is the power that can drive an apparently, powerless individual to sacrifice their dreams, their liberty and even their life for others.

It is the power of love.

Sometimes their sacrifices are recorded, but not often. And while history is not populated with such tales of success, our stories are.

From David and Goliath, The Lord of the Rings, to Braveheart, we crave to believe that those who seek to dominate us can be toppled by one act of bravery.

Barry Jones, thanks to the circumstance giving him access to the data, and thanks too to his love of others, found the courage to bring his discoveries to the public. This is why he is already becoming the stuff of legends.

A mild-mannered, law-abiding man, Barry slipped deep underneath the trust of the powerful, despite their passport to their better jobs; their jab’s, not in his veins.

They must have taken it for granted that he would keep their dark secrets silent, because, like many, he would be more interested in protecting his own mortgage, and all the other commodities that create his hill of beans.

But the soul of man is unpredictable. It’s companion, are these deeper voices that haunt it through intuition. Voices rising from wherever we came from, and often, all it offers in this realm, for listening to it, is misery and loss, but underneath that carnage, a profound peace is waiting. An inner place of peace those who would strive to subjugate us, cannot recreate. In fact, they fear it, for they know that the only force that can show you this map, that can guide you to this place of solace, is the force they continually fail to erase. Love.

The future is always unwritten, but we have the tools to create a better one. All we need to do is control our fear, and learn the lesson, that a love of the material will never decorate your heart like a love for each other.
