We suspect that the k in work-ship, literally working for the aliens, (mistaken as Gods), was removed and turned into "worship" which means, serving a single God, by singing hymns and turning over a percentage of your life force, (which is converted into fiat currency) to the self-styled representatives of that God.
I wonder what would happen if everyone started pronouncing the k in work-ship.
