In Luke 15:11-16, a man had two sons who were in the wrong place. The younger son, who had spent his living on riotous living, went to a far country and became in need. He joined a citizen who fed swine, and he filled his belly with the husks that the swine ate. He realized that many hired servants had enough bread to spare him, and he perished with hunger. This story highlights the temptations of sin and the need to wake up and stop settling for the dried-out husks. Satan steals the Word, which is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword. The Word is a source of wisdom and life, and when used with faith, it can destroy demonic strongholds from one's life. If Satan steals the Word, it leaves a dried-out husk, allowing him to do whatever he wants with the rest of one's life. The Word is important because it is life to those who find it.
