Water is a crucial element in scripture, with 363 instances mentioned in the Word. It is essential for all living things, with up to 90% of their body weight coming from water. Humans need a certain amount of water daily to survive, varying according to age, gender, and location. Water serves essential functions in the natural end and spiritual. In Genesis 1:1-2, God created the earth and made it void, but the Spirit of God moved upon the surface. God created a living soul from the dust of the ground, breathing life into man's nostrils. God has reminded man that water is still present and will always be there to refresh, invigorate, and nourish us. God purposed to destroy life on the earth in Genesis 7:4-5, but Noah and his family were saved in the ark. The water in the Bible serves as a reminder of the importance of water in our lives and the role of humans in re-communicating with God.
