Activists stage rare UAE protest at COP28

A small group of demonstrators staged a very rare protest in Dubai on Saturday (December 9) at the COP28 U.N. climate summit site to demand the release of pro-democracy activists imprisoned in the United Arab Emirates and Egypt. Joey Shea, a Saudi and UAE researcher at Human Rights Watch said this was a historic day for the organization.
