Cleveland: Expect Federalist Lawsuit Against State Department To Uncover More Censorship Collusion
"What we found was that the [State Department's Global Engagement Center] was funding, helping develop, helping test, promoting, giving access to, a government platform that was designed for the military and the government -- invited in these outside tech companies," New Civil Liberties Alliance attorney Margot Cleveland said on “Rob Schmitt Tonight.”
The Global Disinformation Index and Newsguard "were only two of those. That's the reason they're featured in the complaint, because we know from open-source information that they were funded and that they were put on this platform," Cleveland continued. “We don't know what else is going on but I have a feeling with discovery, we're gonna find it is a lot more complicated and nefarious than what we've seen so far.”
