Donald Trump - 14th Amendment Hearing - Oral Arguments (ATTORNEY REACTS)

A Colorado political watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), filed a challenge to Donald Trump's candidacy on the Colorado 2024 ballot. CREW's challenge to Trump was based upon his actions and comments during the January 6th, 2021 riot at the Capital Building.

In a trial court hearing, Trump was found to have engaged in insurrection, but did not fall under the definition of "officer of the United States" as set forth in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. This ruling allows Trump to go on the ballor for the 2024 Republican Primary and the 2024 General Election.

CREW is seeking an appeal of the determination that Trump isn't covered by Section 3, and Trump is appealing the determination that he engaged in an insurrection.
