The former secretary of state and national security adviser is perhaps most famous for overseeing a relentless years-long bombing campaign in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War and orchestrating the overthrows of democratically elected governments abroad.

While the entirety of legacy media published dour and reverential obituaries, others were not so sullen. Rolling Stone published a particularly brutal obit, as did HuffPost."
