The Carbon Free Power Project (CFPP) in Idaho Falls has officially been terminated. The CFPP aimed to harness the power of 12 SMRs, offering a promising solution for clean energy production. As this technology continues to mature, advancements in design, manufacturing, and regulatory frameworks are expected to pave the way for its widespread adoption. The setbacks experienced by the CFPP will undoubtedly serve as valuable lessons, guiding the future development of SMR technology toward commercialization.
