LOTUS BISCOFF PUFF PASTRY CHRISTMAS TREE

INGREDIENTS
• 2 sheets ready-rolled puff pastry
• 3 tbsp Lotus Biscoff spread, warmed
• 1 medium egg, beaten (for egg wash)
• 1 tbsp icing sugar
• Optional: 0.5 tbsp cinnamon

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1:
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Roll out 1x Puff pastry add the biscoff and spread so one side is completely covered. Place the other pastry tree evenly on top. Cut the pastry into a Christmas tree shape. (Hopefully better than mine)

STEP 2:
Cut two star shapes out with the excess pastry and put one star at the top of the pastry tree. Cut the branches of the tree in 1-2 inch sections, leaving the center of the tree uncut. (see video)

STEP 4:
Twist each branch 2-3 times.

STEP 5:
Break an egg in a bowl and mix with a fork, egg wash the whole surface of the tree then bake in the centre of the oven for 13 minutes or until the Christmas tree has puffed up and is golden brown in colour.

STEP 6:
Remove from the oven and immediately scatter the cinnamon sugar over.

STEP 7: ENJOY
