Inmate who walked away from North Kern State Prison returned

The minimum-security inmate who walked away from the North Kern State Prison on November 3, 2017 has been returned to California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation custody. Daniel Lucas Salazar, 31, was caught on November 24, 2017 around 4:10 p.m. by agents from the CDCR's Special Service Unit. Salazar was taken in without incident in Sonora and was taken to Sierra Conservation Center in Jamestown. Salazar was serving a three-year sentence eight-month sentence for second-degree robbery as well as the use of another persons identification to get personal information.
