Orion and the throne of God

There can be little doubt that the Ancient Egyptian civilization is the prequel to the Old Testament of the Bible. The stories, such as Noah's Flood and the Tower of Babel, can be better understood when we explore them in the context of the story of Ancient, even pre-dynastic Egypt. Studying Egyptian mythology and philosophy also gives us more insight into the mysteries of life, death and the hereafter in a way not possible from study of the Bible alone.

In this lecture we investigate many strands of this mystery, not least the close connection between Egyptian beliefs concerning a creator God and their knowledge about Orion. This reveals to us some of the deepest secrets of all time which turn out to be relevant for our times too.
