One last livestream: Steven Hayward on Gabriel era Genesis!

Dr. Steven F. Hayward, conservative crusader, and all around great guy joins me to discuss Peter Gabriel era Genesis album rankings. Before my announced sabbatical, I had invited on Dr. Hayward to talk music, and I wish to honor that commitment. Unexpectedly, he is also taking a sabbatical from his writings at powerlineblog.com. He writes about that decision (and I completely understand where he is coming from) here: https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2023/12/time-for-a-sabbatical.php

Professor Hayward is moving from his position at UC Berkeley to teach at Pepperdine School of Public Policy as the Edward L. Gaylord Visiting Professor of Public Policy. Dr. Hayward is the author of a two-volume narrative history of Ronald Reagan and his effect on American political life, The Age of Reagan: The Fall of the Old Liberal Order, 1964-1980, and The Age of Reagan: The Conservative Counter-Revolution, 1980-1989. His other books include Index of Leading Environmental Indicators; The Almanac of Environmental Trends; Mere Environmentalism: A Biblical Perspective on Humans and the Natural World, Churchill on Leadership; Greatness: Reagan, Churchill, and the Making of Extraordinary Leaders; Patriotism Is Not Enough; and M. Stanton Evans: Conservative Wit, Apostle of Freedom.
But best of all, Steven is an avid prog rock fan. And although I delve into King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, ELP, Rush, and Pink Floyd, only a true prog fan (such as Steve) can actually enjoy a tune from Gentle Giant or Renaissance. Thus, he is the perfect choice to help me sort through the early Genesis catalog.
