Speaker Johnson says has votes for impeachment inquiry

On Saturday, House Speaker Mike Johnson expressed confidence that Republicans possess sufficient votes to initiate an official impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.

“I believe we will,” Johnson told Fox News of a GOP-led impeachment inquiry. “I suspect no Democrats will assist in this effort, but they should.”

Johnson added Republicans “have a duty to do this” and “we cannot stop the process.”

On Friday, Republican leadership and crucial GOP committee chairs presented their rationale for the perceived need for an inquiry vote, CNN reported.
