In an effort to offset some of the costs associated with raising children, 23ABC is pairing up with the Bakersfield Homeless Center and Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault to gather 23,000 diapers for families in need. One infant can require up to 240 diapers every month, which can cost 72 dollars a month or nearly $1,000 a year. On November 6, you can begin donating diapers at various locations around Bakersfield. The drive ends on December 8. The Alliance Against Family Violence and Sexual Assault serves men, women, teens and children who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
