This is a short video that Extends some of the ideas in my Bone Broth Video (link here: https://youtu.be/JD2y_E3YC1c ). The fact is you can make so many things with the broth you will create, and it is so much better than anything you get in the store (And will pay a pretty penny for!). But more than that, you can also preserve the fats and extract out the Chicken Oil or “Smaltz” (also spelled Schmaltz). This is usually made by directly rendering chicken fat in a frying pan, leaving you with the oil and crispy treats from the proteins that hold the fat cells together, and the bits of chicken skin. This stuff is called “Gribenes” and its delicious… Unfortunately make Smaltz during the making of bone broth does not leave us with any Gribenes, so we will just make some after we are done!
