On November 21, Lee County is enlisting the help of local companies to get rid of abandoned boats. Commissioners are expected to approve a deal worth just over $100,000. It involves partnering with TSI Disaster Recovery and Southwest Florida Maritime. They'd be in charge of removing derelict and abandoned boats for the next few years. Many people who live along the water consider them an eyesore.
