Lansing murder suspect due in court

A court hearing is scheduled for the man accused in the murder of a Lansing Township man earlier this year. Juwan Williams is charged with open murder, armed robbery and felony firearm in the April death of Bruce Kevin Benson. Benson was found shot to death inside his apartment on North Rosemary Avenue on April 9. Police say Williams tried to rob Benson in a drug deal that went bad and Williams shot and killed Benson during a fight. A preliminary exam conference for Williams is scheduled for 1 p.m. this afternoon.
