Tolifo PT-C-160B LED Video Light Unboxing Review

I got this light (along with two others) using a discount code provided by Tolifo so that I could purchase it, evaluate it, and give my honest opinion on it to see if it would be an idea drop-in replacement for the DIY lights I currently use for my unboxing and product review videos.

I've recorded some video, including the unboxing and test photos and have started evaluating. I like the flexibility of having a battery-powered light. The light is dimmer than my DIY light, both of which were 24 inches away from the object I was photographing. I decided that it's probably not a drop-in replacement, but it really isn't marketed as such, so I'll keep testing and see what I think of it for other uses such as a hair light or background/backdrop light.

For comparison, I paid roughly $16 each for the three DIY lights I have. The Tolifo PT-176S light,with an AC adapter instead of the battery will run you around $33. With an NP-F series battery can run a little bit more, depending on which battery you go with.
