Cop tasers 10-year-old girl

Bodycam footage has been released of the moment a UK police officer tasered a little girl after a row with her mother. The incident occurred in London back in January 2021, when the mother reported that her 10-year-old daughter was ‘threatening’ her with a pair of garden shears.

Newly-released footage shows PC Jonathan Broadhead entering the family home, where the girl was holding the shears but calmly walking upstairs. Broadhead charges at the girl, shouting orders at her. Without giving her any time to respond, Broadhead then tasers her and she collapses on the stairs.

Amazingly, Broadhead has now been cleared of gross misconduct, after a panel concluded that tasering a 10-year-old girl was ‘necessary, reasonable and proportionate in all the circumstances.’
