Links to Ontario's health review Air pollution in the Sarnia area raises the risk of cancer

The findings of a health study funded by the Ontario government indicate that residents of some areas of Sarnia, Ontario, have a higher chance of developing cancer due to exposure to air pollution.

The multimillion-dollar review was started following a 2017 Global News report into the issue.

The results came after years of worries from the Sarnia and Aamjiwnaang First Nation community members that toxins spewed from adjacent industries were sickening them, as Global's Carolyn Jarvis explains.
