phoenixrisinglifecoaching.com - BPD Coach A.J. Mahari - Borderline Personality and Relationships are complicated for both those with BPD and their Loved Ones. Complicated by the very nature of BPD and also complicated by what is often a loved one's focus on rescue or trying to "fix" a person with BPD so that they can avoid their own personal growth and avoid looking at their own issues. We all have issues. Whether one has BPD or is the Loved One of someone with BPD, the toxic dynamics seen in the vast majority of these relationships, believe it or not, are not all one-sided at all. They are not all about the person with BPD all the time. Not to defend how people with BPD can treat others but it takes two to tango and also Loved Ones need to separate out the "borderline" behaviour from the person with BPD. Why do so many loved ones remain so invested in what are often toxic, unhealthy relationships that just aren't working?
