THE NITTY GRITTY
Start with a prayer of consecration each day. I make myself available to you. Not my will but yours… may mean - what’s on your heart today Lord. I am here for you, today.
Spend time in God’s word
Stay in constant contact with Him. Develop an awareness to Him by talking to Him all the time
Stay aware that His leadings and Promptings to WATCH AND PRAY are gentle nudges.
I remember the time about 10 years ago - this one time the Holy Spirit prompted me, spoke to me, reveled something to me - and I was shocked at how gentle, subtle, and quiet it was. I literally said out loud - HOLY SPIRT, THAT IS THE MOST QUIET YOU HAVE EVER SPOKEN TO ME”. And He said, YOU ARE GROWING.
Think about tuning into a radio, where you had to turn a knob…. Static….. Keep working at it…. Clear…. Enjoy the sounds
When you get that nudge from Him, stop and seek Him about it. This is the biggest mistake for most. Develop this sensitivity by acting upon the prompting/nudgings that come.
As you are staying in a spirit of prayer….. Living a lifestyle of prayer….. Praying without ceasing…… Praying always with all types/kinds of prayer…. And you connect with the Holy Ghost and fall into supplication and begin to download info about what to pray about….. STAY WITH HIM. STICK TO HIM. HE MAY MOVE AROUND ON THE TOPIC and SHIFT DIRECTIONS - STAY WITH HIM.
Let that prayer of consecration keep you consecrated….
When the Holy Spirit shows you something - dont just run full force at it and begin to address the problem. Stay in the SPIRITUAL ZONE with Him and see how He prompts you to react.
This whole experience that you are working with HIM to create is a constant contact with HIM as you continually follow HIM. FOLLOW HIM. FOLLOW HIM. STAY CONNECTED AND FOLLOW HIM.
Keep in mind that as you work with the HOLY SPIRIT in this WATCH AND PRAY time, you will be often operating in and exercising the authority of the believer.
We see in Mark 11:23 - That we are to speak to mountains and we are to bind on earth and loose on earth.
This absolutely will involve PRAYING AND SAYING. Do not neglect the SAYING side of prayer.
You will allow into your life what you deem valuable. If you deem the heart and mind of God valuable - seeking FIRST His Kingdom - then you are a prime candidate to begin being Watchful, Staying Alert unto Him.
